ST. LOUIS – Four individuals allege contaminated food purchased at a St. Louis restaurant caused them to develop food poisoning.

Chanta Bobo, Doneisha Davis, Victor Moore and Marissa Lewis filed a complaint on June 11 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Cajun Operating Co. alleging strict liability, negligence and breach of warranty.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 5, 2017, Chanta Bobo, Doneisha Davis, Victor Moore and Marissa Lewis bought chicken from defendant's Church's Chicken. They allege they experienced symptoms of food poisoning that night and sought medical treatment.

The plaintiffs hold Cajun Operating Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently allowed food to be contaminated by having containers of chicken batter sitting under a leaking condensation drain in its walk-in cooler and stored food products near an area that is exposed to grey water.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant in an amount that is fair and reasonable, costs of court and all other relief that are proper. They are represented by David Anderson of Anderson Legal Group PLLC in St. Louis.
