ST. LOUIS – A driver injured in a collision in St. Louis by a driver who fled the scene alleges his insurer has breached the insurance contract.
Stanford Morris filed a complaint on June 11 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Geico Casualty Co. alleging breach of contract.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 2, he was injured in an auto collision due to the negligence of an uninsured driver on South Kingshighway Boulevard near its intersection with Laclede Avenue. The suit states the driver fled the scene.
The plaintiff alleges he sustained severe and permanent injuries, incurred medical expenses and other damages and at the time of the collision, he was insured under the under the policy issued by defendant.
The plaintiff holds Geico Casualty Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly breached the insurance contract.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in an amount between $25,000 and $75,000, plus costs herein expended and all other relief that are proper and just. He is represented by Thomas E. Schwartz of Holloran Schwartz & Gaertner LLP in St. Louis.
