ST. LOUIS – An African-American woman alleges that a white police officer violated her constitutional rights when he responded to a domestic incident.

Brittany Walker filed a complaint on June 12 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against St. Louis police officer John Stewart alleging false arrest, intentional infliction of emotional distress and false imprisonment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 12, 2015, she contacted the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department to report that her estranged husband took the family vehicle from her residence and absconded. The suit states Stewart responded to the call and that he "coerced" her into performing oral sex.

The plaintiff holds Stewart responsible because the defendant allegedly engaged in the action willfully and knowingly in reckless or deliberate indifference to her Fourth Amendment rights.

The plaintiff seeks monetary and punitive damages, litigation fees, costs, expenses and all other relief that is proper and just. She is represented by Kyle Kleefus of Law Offices of Derald L. Gab PC in St. Louis.
