ST. LOUIS – A mother and child are seeking damages from two drivers and a school after the child was allegedly injured in a collision in St. Louis.

Carlos Turner, minor, by and through his mother Tiffany Turner, filed a complaint on June 15 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Jeremy Jones, Lift for Life Academy Inc. and Eric Ramsey alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Sept. 12, 2016, Carlos Turner was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Jones traveling south on North 14th Street approaching its intersection with Chestnut in St. Louis. The suit states Jones drove around a parked vehicle and struck a vehicle operated by Ramsey, an employee of Lift for Life.

The suit states Carlos Turner suffered injuries to his neck, chest and left shoulder as a result of the accident.

The plaintiffs hold Jones, Lift for Life Academy Inc. and Ramsey responsible because defendants Jones and Ramsey allegedly failed to keep a proper and careful lookout.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against each defendant in an amount between $25,000 and $75,000. They are represented by Thomas Traube of Sorrell & Traube in St. Louis.
