ST. LOUIS – A driver alleges a collision in St. Louis caused injuries to his back and several thousand dollars' worth in medical expenses.

Jerry N. Stewart filed a complaint on June 27 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Shelby Adams alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 27, 2013, he was injured when the defendant caused a violent collision with their vehicles at the intersection of Kingshighway and Childrens Plaza in St. Louis. He alleges he suffered serious injuries to his upper and lower back and incurred medical expenses of more than $6,070.16 as a result of the accident.

The plaintiff holds Adams responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently followed his vehicle too closely, failed to keep proper lookout and failed to obey an electric traffic signal.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant of more than $25,000 but not more than $75,000, plus costs of this action. He is represented by Cecil L. Skaggs of Central West End Law Office in St. Louis.
