ST. LOUIS – A casino patron alleges his foot was injured by a loose door on a restroom stall.

Antwaun L. Smith filed a complaint on July 5 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Lumiere Place Casino & Hotels alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 12, 2017, he was at the defendant's casino and went to use the restroom. The suit states that while he was walking outside the designated stall, its door came loose, collapsed and fell on his right foot, injuring it.

The plaintiff holds Lumiere Place Casino & Hotels responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently allowed the stall door to remain in a defective and dangerous condition and failed to replace the loose door.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant of more than $25,000, with interest, costs and all other relief that are necessary and proper. He is represented by Benjamin J. Sansone of Sansone Sumner & Lauber in St. Louis.
