ST. LOUIS – A Reeds Spring couple is alleged to have failed to repay money loaned from a St. Louis County man.
Fred Coco filed a complaint on July 3 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Sherry Debell and Kevin Debell alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he and the parties agreed to move in together and purchase a house all parties agreed to. The plaintiff alleges he provided a $100,000 down payment on the house in May 2011 and a year later, the defendants kicked him out. The suit states the house was sold in October 2016.
The plaintiff also alleges he lent the defendants an additional $5,520.93 for their bills and mortgage payments. After repaying plaintiff $76,000 through December 2016, the plaintiff alleges a balance remains due and owing.
The plaintiff seeks judgment in his favor in an amount of more than $25,000, with interest, attorney's fees, costs and all other relief that are proper and just. He is represented by Jennifer Yarbrough of The Yarbrough Law Firm in St. Louis.
