ST. LOUIS – A pedestrian alleges a broken sidewalk in St. Louis caused her to fall.

Ann Dockery filed a complaint on June 18 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against the city of St. Louis alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 15, 2017, she was injured when she tripped over a broken or uneven sidewalk located near the intersection of Gravois and Selena streets in St. Louis. She alleges she suffered injuries to her left knee, left foot and left calf, which required medical care and treatment because of the fall.

The plaintiff holds the city of St. Louis responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adequately and effectively maintain the sidewalk, failed to repair the dangerous condition and failed to warn the public of the existing danger.

The plaintiff seeks judgment in her favor for a sum of more than $25,000, plus costs, interest and all other relief that are just and proper. She is represented by Todd R. Nissenholtz and Nathan S. McHahill of Cofman Townsley LLP in St. Louis.
