Car accident 06

ST. LOUIS – Two motorists allege a Chesterfield woman failed to keep a safe distance in an Interstate 64 accident in St. Louis.

Michael Pearson Jr. and Dquann Knight filed a complaint on July 11 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Shelly McCormack alleging that the driver breached her duty to operate her vehicle in a safe manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Sept. 22, 2017, they were traveling west on I-64 and were stopped for traffic when McCormack struck another vehicle and then their vehicle. They allege they suffered injuries to their bodies and incurred damages as a result of the accident.

The plaintiffs hold McCormack responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to obey traffic signs and failed to stop her vehicle to avoid collision.

The plaintiffs seek judgment in favor of each plaintiff in a sum of more than $25,000 with interest, costs and such other and further relief as may be proper and necessary. They are represented by Benjamin J. Sansone of Sansone Sumner & Lauber in Clayton.
