ST. LOUIS – Collinsville, Illinois parents allege that their minor son needed a revision surgery because of the negligence of a St. Louis physician.

William M. Fowler Jr., a minor by and through his next friends Carissa Fowler and William M. Fowler Sr., filed a complaint on July 12, in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Clayton B. Cummings, M.D.; Barnes-Jewish Hospital, et al. alleging medical negligence.

According to the complaint, William M. Fowler Jr. was born at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in July 2016 and was circumcised by Cummings. The suit states Cummings failed to remove the foreskin adequately and that William M. Fowler Jr. needed a revision procedure to correct it.

The plaintiffs hold Cummings, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, et al. responsible because the defendant Cummings allegedly failed to provide an adequate and complete circumcision.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants of more than $25,000, plus costs and such other relief that is just and proper. They are represented by Melvin L. Raymond in St. Louis.
