ST. LOUIS – A motorcycle rider alleges a driver made a sudden turn in front of him on a St. Louis road and caused him to strike the vehicle.

Karl Hanson filed a complaint on July 16 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against James C. Bacil alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 25, 2017, he was operating his motorcycle on Carondelet Boulevard in St. Louis when the defendant made a sudden left turn in front of him, causing him to strike the defendant's vehicle. The plaintiff alleges he sustained injuries to his ribs, neck, upper back, shoulders and flank and incurred medical expenses in the sum of $10,000 as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Bacil responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a careful lookout and failed to yield.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant of more than $15,000. He is represented by John C. Weller of John C. Weller PC in St. Louis.
