ST. LOUIS – A driver alleges he suffered more than $40,000 worth of damages because of a collision in St. Louis.
Melvin Hockett filed a complaint on July 16 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Otis Woods alleging that the other driver failed to exercise the highest degree of care in operating a motor vehicle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 23, 2015, he was traveling on South Kingshighway in St. Louis and was stopped at its intersection with Interstate 64 when the defendant collided with the rear of his vehicle. He alleges he was violently tossed within his vehicle because of the collision, causing him to be injured and incur damages of $46,908.46.
The plaintiff holds Woods responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently drove at a speed too fast for the conditions and failed to keep a proper lookout.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $46,908.46, with interest, costs and all other relief that may be proper and just. He is represented by David R. Gamache and Donald A. Horowitz of Gamache & Myers PC in St. Louis.
