Woman claims racial and gender discrimination in lawsuit against Sodexo, other employers

ST. LOUIS — An African-American woman is suing Sodexo Inc., SDH Services East LLC, SDH Education East LLC and Robert J. McKeon, employers, alleging discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

Danielle Morris filed a complaint on July 13, in the St. Louis Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they violated the Missouri Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was fired from her job on July 21, 2016. She has suffered financial losses, emotional pain, inconvenience and loss of enjoyment of life, according to court documents. Sodexo provides integrated food service, facilities management and other services 

The plaintiff holds Sodexo Inc., SDH Services East LLC, SDH Education East LLC and Robert J. McKeon responsible because the defendants allegedly subjected her to frequent and continuous harassment, discrimination and retaliation based on her gender and race, according to the complaint.

 Morris claims she was terminated for opposing discriminatory practices, according to the complaint.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages in an amount in excess of $25,000, plus costs, attorney's fees, and expenses and all other relief that are just and proper. She is represented by Kevin J. Kasper and Ryan P. Schellert of Kasper Law Firm in St. Charles.
