ST. LOUIS – A guest at the Lumiere Casino alleges a rug caused him to fall and tear a rotator cuff.

Joe Ferrario filed a complaint on July 25 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against TEI LLC, doing business as Lumiere Place Casino and Hotels, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 11, 2017, he was injured at defendants' Lumiere Casino when he tripped and fell at the entrance door due to a crumpled rug. He alleges the fall caused a sprained knee, ankle and shoulder, torn rotator cuff and other injuries.

The plaintiff holds TEI LLC, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly knew or should have known of the danger posed by the crumpled rug but did nothing to remedy it or warn of the danger.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in a fair and reasonable amount greater than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that are just and proper. He is represented by John F. Medler Jr. of The Medler Law Firm LLC in St. Louis.
