ST. LOUIS – A patron of a St. Louis restaurant alleges she was injured because the business failed to clean a greasy substance off of the floor.

Yolanda Pruitt filed a complaint on Aug. 7 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Sweetie Pie's Restaurant Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 28, she was injured at defendant's dining room area when she slipped and fell because of a greasy substance on the floor. She alleges she suffered injuries resulting in pain and suffering, lost wages, medical expenses and loss of enjoyment of life as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Sweetie Pie's Restaurant Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to clean the floors properly and failed to adequately warn invitees of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, with interest, costs and all other relief that are necessary and proper. She is represented by Benjamin J. Sansone of Sansone, Sumner & Lauber in Clayton.
