ST. LOUIS – A driver injured in a collision in St. Louis alleges his insurer has failed and refused to pay him a reasonable amount under his policy.

Melvyn Rollins filed a complaint on July 31 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Automobile Club Inter-Insurance Exchange seeking uninsured motorist benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 4, 2016, he was involved in an auto collision due to the carelessness of an uninsured driver on West Florissant Road in St. Louis. He alleges he suffered serious and permanent injuries and incurred medical expenses of more than $13,500 as a result of the collision.

At the time of the accident, the suit states the insurance policy issued by defendant to the plaintiff was in full force and effect and the plaintiff made a claim for uninsured motorist coverage.

The plaintiff holds Automobile Club Inter-Insurance Exchange responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to pay the reasonable amount due under the policy.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that is just and appropriate. He is represented by Robert S. Merlin and Sarah H. Hale of Ray B. Marglous PC in Clayton.
