ST. LOUIS – A passenger in a vehicle involved in a collision in St. Louis alleges that the collision was caused by a driver that failed to yield.

India Monique Brown filed a complaint on Aug. 13 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against James Myers alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 3, 2017, she was a passenger in a motor vehicle traveling southbound on Vandeventer Avenue near its intersection with Laclede Avenue in St. Louis when the defendant collided with the vehicle the plaintiff was in. She alleges she suffered serious and painful injuries to her head, cervical spine, back, shoulder and right arm and incurred medical and nursing expenses of more than $11,000 as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Myers responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic, drove too fast for the conditions and failed to keep a careful lookout.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that is just and proper. She is represented by Christopher A. Wagner and Michael A. Chehval of Gabriel, McCartney & Wagner PC in St. Louis.
