ST. LOUIS – A Kansas City company alleges $650,000 worth of equipment was destroyed in a St. Louis warehouse fire.

Milbank Manufacturing Co. filed a complaint on Aug. 21 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against GFA Decorative Trade Services Inc., doing business as Park Warehouse Services; and Folsom Group LLC alleging breach of bailment contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, prior to Nov. 15, 2017, the defendants received and agreed to protect plaintiff's electrical meter mounting equipment and related enclosures against damage at their Park Warehouse facility in St. Louis. The plaintiff alleges as the result of a fire that destroyed the property Nov. 15, 2017, plaintiff's inventory worth approximately $650,000 was destroyed.

The plaintiff holds GFA Decorative Trade Services Inc. and Folsom Group LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to return the electronics to it and failed to compensate it.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, plus interest, costs and all other relief that is proper and just. It is represented by Richard D. Gerber and Matthew R. Leffler of Evans & Dixon LLC in St. Louis.
