ST. LOUIS – An Alton, Illinois man is seeking more than $50,000 from St. Louis Cab Co. and its employee after he was struck while helping another motorist in St. Charles County.

Brandon Plummer filed a complaint on Aug. 23 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Jerome Daniels and St. Louis Cab Co. Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 16, 2015, he was assisting another motorist whose car was smoking and blocking traffic along Interstate 70 in St. Charles County when the vehicle driven by defendant Daniels and owned by defendant St. Louis Cab hit him. He alleges he suffered injuries to his hip, knee, wrist and hand as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Daniels and St. Louis Cab Co. Inc. responsible because defendant Daniels allegedly failed to keep the vehicle under control, improperly used the lane and failed to keep a proper lookout.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in a sum of more than $50,000, plus costs. He is represented by Bob L. Perica and Tess M. Perica of The Perica Law Firm PC in Wood River, Illinois.
