ST. LOUIS – A woman shot in the face at a St. Louis fast-food restaurant alleges she has incurred thousands of dollars in medical expenses and is seeking damages from the restaurant's operators/organizers.

Nala Boyd filed a complaint on Aug. 27 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against TM Foods LLC, doing business as Grand Grill, Fish & Chicken; Pompt Services LLC; and V.N. Investments LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 19, 2017, she was injured at defendants' Grand Grill restaurant when she was inadvertently shot in the face by an unknown individual. She alleges she suffered physical and mental pain, lost wages, disfigurement and medical expenses amounting to thousands of dollars.

The plaintiff holds TM Foods LLC, Pompt Services LLC and V.N. Investments LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide competent and reasonably trained security for the premises and failed to adequately warn guests of the increased danger of violent incidents at the premises.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that are just and proper. She is represented by Matthew P. O'Grady and Derek P. Sieck of Onder Law LLC in St. Louis.
