ST. LOUIS – A diner at a St. Louis casino alleges she ingested foil that was in her food and incurred more than $9,000 in medical bills as a result.

Cheronda White filed a complaint on Sept. 7 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Tropicana St. Louis LLC, doing business as Lumiere Casino, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 4, 2017, she was consuming lasagna purchased from defendant's Lumiere Casino when she ingested a piece of foil that was in her food and began vomiting. She alleges she suffered several bouts of vomiting and incurred medical expenses totaling $9,557.61.

The plaintiff holds Tropicana St. Louis LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to correct or warn of the contaminated food.

The plaintiff seeks judgement against the defendant in a sum that will adequately compensate her for her damages, plus costs and all other relief that are just and proper. She is represented by Nicholas J. Meador in St. Louis.
