ST. LOUIS – A woman alleges she was injured at a St. Louis property when the ceiling collapsed on her.

Latricia Hennings filed a complaint on Aug. 31 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Elmer Thornton Jr. alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 29, 2017, she was a guest of a tenant at the premises owned and controlled by defendant when the ceiling suddenly collapsed and fell onto her. She alleges she suffered injuries to her head, neck, back and shoulders and incurred damages of more than $25,000.

The plaintiff holds Thornton Jr. responsible because the defendant allegedly had knowledge of the defective condition and failed to remedy it.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $25,000, and all other relief that is just and equitable. She is represented by Kyle Kleefus of Law Offices of Derald L. Gab PC in St. Louis.
