ST. LOUIS – A Missouri man alleges he accepted a position with Lockheed Martin only to learn after he quit his job that the employment offer was rescinded.
Evan Engelage filed a complaint on Sept. 7 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Lockheed Martin alleging fraudulent representation.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 30, 2017, he accepted the position as a senior cyber intel analyst for the defendant with a salary of $110,000 per year. Once informed that his requirements were completed on Sept. 13, 2017, the suit states he left his previous employment.
The plaintiff alleges on Oct. 3, 2017, he was contacted by the defendant and told the position he accepted was no longer available and that it was rescinding the offer.
The plaintiff holds Lockheed Martin responsible because the defendant allegedly falsely represented to him that if he successfully completed all background checks, he would be employed by the defendant.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant for damages greater than $25,000 and all other relief that is proper and just. He is represented by Nicholas K. Meador of Koller & Meador LLC in St. Louis.
