ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis resident alleges a contractor she hired to perform work on her home walked off the job.

LaChelle Livingston filed a complaint on Sept. 14 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Gateway Building Solutions LLC alleging breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 21, 2017, she contracted defendant to remodel her property located at 4521 Newstead Terrace. She alleges that despite paying the defendant, it did not return to complete all the work outlined in the contract.

The plaintiff holds Gateway Building Solutions LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to perform all of its obligations under the contract and failed to complete the job.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, plus interest, attorney's fees, costs and such other relief that are just and proper. She is represented by Katherine M. Smith of Rynearson, Suess, Schnurbusch & Champion LLC in St. Louis.
