ST. LOUIS – A motorist claims he suffered injuries to his spine and other body parts because of a collision in St. Louis caused when another driver failed to stop at an intersection.

Jose Parks filed a complaint on Aug. 31 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Aisha Porter alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 9, 2017, he was driving a 2010 Dodge Avenger on the southbound lane of Hamilton Avenue in St. Louis when the defendant negligently caused her vehicle to collide with his vehicle. The plaintiff alleges he suffered injuries to his chest, neck, abdomen, thoracic spine, lumbar spine and cervical spine and incurred medical expenses of more than $7,000 as a result of the accident.

The plaintiff holds Porter responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to stop and yield at the intersection and failed to yield to the right of way.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, plus costs and all further relief that is just and proper. He is represented by Robert S. Merlin and Sarah H. Hale of Ray B. Marglous PC in Clayton.
