ST. LOUIS – A man alleges his leg was broken when a driver collided with a vehicle he was helping jump start.

Raymond Riggins filed a complaint Sept. 10 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Aboard Rent A Car and Alexander J. Coleman alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 8, 2016, he was attempting to jump start another vehicle parked on the side of the street of Spring Garden when defendant Coleman lost control of the vehicle owned by defendant Aboard and collided with the rear of the vehicle being jump started, causing it to move forward and strike him. The plaintiff alleges he suffered a broken left leg and sustained pain and suffering that will continue in the future.

The plaintiff holds Aboard Rent A Car and Coleman responsible because defendant Coleman failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to yield to the right of way and negligently drove his vehicle at an excessive speed.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants in an amount of more than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that are just and proper. He is represented by J. Brad Wilmoth of Page Law in St. Louis.
