ST. LOUIS – A motorist is seeking damages from a Union man over a rear-end collision in St. Louis.

Charles Tate filed a complaint on Sept. 7 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Kevin Bell alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 25, 2017, he was traveling east on West Florissant Avenue at or near its intersection with Shreve Avenue in St. Louis when the defendant rear-ended his vehicle. He alleges he suffered diminution in the fair market value and loss of use of his vehicle.

The plaintiff holds Bell responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently drove his vehicle at an excessive speed and failed to keep a proper lookout.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, plus costs, interest and all further relief that is proper and just. He is represented by Matthew J. Sauter of Sauter Sullivan LLC in St. Louis.
