ST. LOUIS – A tenant of a St. Louis property alleges her landlord failed to properly repair steps and that they caused her to fall.

Jeanette Jones filed a complaint on Sept. 25 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Larry Davis alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 14, 2017, she was a lawful tenant on defendant's real property located at 5070 Davison Ave., St. Louis and was caused to fall while descending the steps outside the building. The suit states one of the steps was loose and wobbled when stepped on.

She alleges she sustained injuries to her head, back, right elbow and right arm and was caused to suffer medical expenses of more than $25,000 as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Davis responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly repair the steps and failed to warn the plaintiff of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, plus costs and such other just and equitable relief. She is represented by Kyle Kleefus of Law Offices of Derald L. Gab PC in St. Louis.
