ST. LOUIS – An invitee at the City Museum alleges she injured her foot and ankle after riding the praying mantis slide.

Nicole Murray filed a complaint on Sept. 24 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against City Museum I LLC alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 26, 2015, she was an invitee at the City Museum to ride its praying mantis slide. The suit states that following defendant's instruction to slide down with her legs crossed, she sped down the slide faster and landed on her left foot. She alleges she suffered serious injuries to her lower back, left foot and left ankle as a result.

The plaintiff holds City Museum I LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate warning of the dangers associated with the praying mantis slide and failed to provide proper assistance and supervision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that is proper and just. She is represented by W. Alex Lamb of Lieser Law Firm LLC in St. Louis.
