Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice is pleased to welcome Shatrasha Stone as an attorney with the firm’s St. Louis office. Stone’s practice is focused in litigation with an emphasis in medical malpractice, insurance litigation, personal injury defense and general liability claims. She began her legal career as an Assistant City Counselor for the City of St. Louis, serving as legal counsel for St. Louis City disciplinary and administrative matters, in addition to personal injury litigation in both State and Federal court.
Stone is a past recipient of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis’ John C. Shepherd Professionalism Award, an award given annually to young attorneys who exemplify the BAMSL Tenets of Professionalism, and is the current Chair Elect of the Young Lawyers Division of BAMSL. She is also a member of the Executive Board of the Mound City Bar Association, a Council Member of the Young Lawyers’ Section of the Missouri Bar, and a member of the Theodore McMillian Inn of Court. She is a Missouri Bar Association Leadership Academy alumni.
Stone earned her law degree from St. Louis University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Southeast Missouri State University.
