ST. LOUIS – A passenger seeks more than $50,000 from two individuals over a collision in St. Louis she alleges caused her injury.

Delores Carpenter filed a complaint on Oct. 10 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Shervetta Stewart and Vera Lane alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 22, 2017, she was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Lane when they collided with the vehicle operated by defendant Stewart near the intersection of North Grand and Page boulevards in St. Louis. She alleges she suffered serious injuries to her right leg, right shoulder, right hip, head, chest, neck and back and incurred lost wages and medical expenses as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Stewart and Lane responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently drove at an excessive speed, violated the traffic signal, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to yield.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants in an amount of more than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that is just and proper. She is represented by J. Ryan Kelly and Justin M. Stephens of Stephens Kelly Law in St. Louis.
