ST. LOUIS — A driver is suing the city of St. Louis and city worker Christopher Edwards, citing alleged negligence.

Lauren McKinney-Neil filed a complaint on Oct. 14, in the St. Louis Circuit Court, against the city of St. Louis and Christopher Edwards, alleging that defendant Edwards negligently caused the vehicle owned by the city of St. Louis to collide with plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 14, 2015, Edwards carelessly pulled out of the parking lot and collided with plaintiff's vehicle at or near the intersection of Natural Bridge and Kingshighway.

She allegedly suffered serious and permanent injuries to her head, neck, arms, shoulders, legs and back.

The plaintiff holds the city of St. Louis and Christopher Edwards responsible, because defendant Edwards failed to yield the right of way, failed to keep proper and vigilant lookout, and failed to reduce speed, swerve or stop his vehicle to avoid a collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for a sum of more than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that is just and proper.

She is represented by R. Tyson Mutrux of Mutrux Firm, LLC in St. Louis.
