ST. LOUIS — A mother is filing a lawsuit on behalf of her child after a car accident with injuries.

Crystal Blake filed a complaint on Oct. 15, on behalf of Likellon Smith, a minor, in the St. Louis Circuit Court, against Grant Gerdelman, alleging that the driver carelessly made an improper turn.

The plaintiff alleges that on May 29, 2017, her son, Likellon Smith, was a passenger in an automobile that was struck by the defendant's vehicle in the westbound lane of Wells Drive. He suffered injuries to his back, neck, legs, arms and head.

The plaintiff holds Grant Gerdelman responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently drove his vehicle while distracted, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to yield right of way.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court.

She is represented by Lorenzo Hester of Attorney Lorenzo Hester in St. Louis.
