Siblings are suing property managers for alleged negligence

ST. LOUIS — Siblings are suing Anthony Taylor, Mattie Taylor, Dan Wald and Hillvale Associates, property managers, for alleged negligence.

Tiana Craig and Dorothy Craig filed a complaint on Oct. 12, in the St. Louis Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they negligently rented a dwelling that was dangerous and unfit for human habitation.

The plaintiffs allege that during and throughout the time that Tiana Craig and Dorothy Craig resided and frequented defendants' properties, they were exposed to, ingested and consumed dangerous lead based paint chips, flakes, powder and dust, causing them to suffer injuries, illnesses and infirmities. 

The plaintiffs holds Anthony Taylor, Mattie Taylor, Dan Wald and Hillvale Associates responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently allowed lead pigments in their properties and failed to completely and safely eradicate lead paint hazards on the premises.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants in an amount exceeding $25,000, interest, costs and all other relief deemed appropriate.
