ST. LOUIS — A driver is suing Mercedes Wilks, William David Petty, American Family Mutual Insurance Co., et al, citing alleged breach of contract and negligence.

Keith Salmon filed a complaint on Oct. 12, in the St. Louis Circuit Court, against the defendants alleging that they failed to provide uninsured motorist coverage to plaintiff's losses.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 21, he was traveling south on Highway 70 when defendant Wilks struck his vehicle.

He suffered serious and painful injuries to his neck and back and incurred expenses for medical treatment.

Wilks allegedly failed to keep proper lookout and failed to take evasive actions to avoid the collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants in a sum greater than $25,000, costs and all other relief that is just and proper.

He is represented by Gregory M. Klote and Joel K. Halvorsen of Halvorsen Klote in St. Louis.
