Armstrong Teasdale issued the following announcement on Oct. 24.
St. Louis Litigation Partner Tom Weaver was featured as a "St. Louis Character" in this past week's issue of the St. Louis Business Journal. In the full-page feature, Tom shares some background on why he became a lawyer, memorable cases, and his love of running.
“As a partner at Armstrong Teasdale and head of its appellate team, Tom Weaver has been involved in more than 150 appeals in state and federal court and has made oral arguments in more than 100 of them. In the last four years, he has been involved in appeals resulting in more than $370 million in reversals. But Weaver is most proud of the fact that he has always honored the integrity of the legal process.
‘I don't like the idea that people who might have had limited exposure to the legal process are going to come away thinking that it's rigged,’ Weaver said. ‘I think that comes from my hope that you can be successful by adhering to the basic principles of integrity and honor and commitment.’"
Recently, Weaver was named “Litigator of the Week” by Law.com and the AmLaw Litigation Daily for his work on a $72 million appeal for Johnson & Johnson.
Weaver’s significant litigation experience includes serving as lead trial and appellate counsel in commercial, product liability, insurance and eminent domain litigation matters in both state and federal courts. He is a fellow in the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers and was a member of the board of directors from 2015 to 2017.
