ST. LOUIS — Motor vehicle passengers are suing American Family Mutual Insurance Co., citing alleged breach of insurance policy.
Turkessa Jones-Simmons, Lashanda Chatman and Shirley Chatman, by and through their legal guardian, Katherine Cummings, filed a complaint on Nov. 7, in the St. Louis Circuit Court, against American Family Mutual Insurance Co., alleging that the licensed insurer failed to pay all sums to which they are legally entitled to recover their damages.
The plaintiffs allege that, on June 27, Turkessa Jones-Simmons, Lashanda Chatmand and Shirley Chatman were passengers in a vehicle driven by Alonzo Williams, an underinsured motorist when they were involved in an accident at the intersection of Lucas and Hunt Road.
They were injured, lost wages and incurred medical costs. The plaintiffs holds American Family Mutual Insurance Company responsible because they were insured through their legal guardian, Katherine Cummings.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendant in an amount in excess of $25,000, costs and all other relief that is just and reasonable. They are represented by Benjamin J. Sansone of Sansone & Lauber in Clayton.
