ST. LOUIS – A minor alleges he sustained knee injuries because of a hole in a St. Louis sidewalk.

Antwan Bailey, a minor, by his next friend and natural mother, Amber Biggs, and Amber Biggs, individually, filed a complaint on Nov. 6 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against the city of St. Louis alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on July 26, 2017, Bailey injured his knee when he tripped and fell into a hole on the sidewalk of Margaretta Street in St. Louis. The suit states the fall resulted in more than $6,000 in medical expenses.

The plaintiffs hold the city of St. Louis responsible because the defendant allegedly had constructive notice of the hole and failed to remedy it or warn of the condition.

The plaintiffs seek judgment in the amount of $6,440, plus costs expended for this action. They are represented by Kurt C. Hoener of Hoener & Cooper LLC in St. Louis.
