ST. LOUIS – A Jefferson County resident is alleged to have failed to keep a careful lookout before colliding with another vehicle in St. Louis.

Madeleine R. Steinau filed a complaint on Nov. 9 in the St. Louis 22nd Judicial Circuit Court against Kim R. Woody alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 10, 2013, she was injured in a motor vehicle collision when the defendant struck the rear of her vehicle at the intersection of Jamieson and Bradley avenues in St. Louis. She alleges she suffered injuries to her head, neck and back as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Woody responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep careful and vigilant lookout, operated her vehicle at an excessive speed and failed to stop before making contact with plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant of more than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that is proper and just. She is represented by Shelby M. Cowley of The Law Offices of Shelby M. Cowley in St. Louis.
