ST. LOUIS – A driver alleges the employee of a contractor failed to keep a careful lookout before causing a collision on Interstate 70.

Maryenda Merriweather filed a complaint on Nov. 6 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against R&R Contracting Services Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 19, she was involved in an auto collision when the defendant's truck collided with her vehicle on Interstate 70 in St. Louis. She alleges she suffered injuries to her head, neck, shoulders and upper and lower spine as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds R&R Contracting Services Inc. responsible because defendant's employee failed to keep a careful and vigilant lookout and failed to slacken speed, swerve or stop to avoid the collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that is just and proper. She is represented by Steven M. Gelfman of Hoffman & Gelfman Attorneys PC in St. Louis.
