ST. LOUIS – A driver alleges he incurred more than $11,000 in medical expenses as a result of a collision in St. Louis.

Amos M. Perryman Jr. filed a complaint on Nov. 26 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Joseph M. Schaefer alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 2, the plaintiff was involved in an auto collision that occurred near the intersection of Shaw and Sublette avenues in St. Louis as a result of defendant's carelessness. He alleges he sustained injuries and incurred medical bills of more than $11,000 and property damage of more than $1,000.

The plaintiff holds Schaefer responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout; failed to yield to the right of way when making a left turn; and failed to stop, swerve or reduce speed to avoid the collision.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory damages of more than $25,000, plus costs and all other just and proper relief. He is represented by William E. Sorrell of Sorrell & Traube in St. Louis.
