ST. LOUIS – A shopper at a St. Louis grocery store alleges that a wet floor in the restroom caused him to fall.
Jerry Reed filed a complaint on Nov. 19 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against SuperValu Inc. alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 25, 2017, he was shopping at defendant's Shop n Save store in St. Louis when he fell in the men's restroom because of a wet floor. He alleges he sustained injuries to his right hand, thumb and wrist; right hip; and leg as a result of the fall.
The plaintiff holds SuperValu Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly allowed water and wetness to remain on the floor and failed to give adequate warning of its existence.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, with interest and costs. He is represented by David L. Schlapprizzi, Craig Schlapprizzi and Antoinette T. Schlapprizzi of Donald L. Schlapprizzi PC in St. Louis.
