Tenant alleges negligence of Senate Square 2004 led to injuries

ST. LOUIS – A tenant of a St. Louis apartment alleges the owner's negligence caused her nearly $50,000 in medical bills.

Lavette Taylor filed a complaint on Nov. 19 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Senate Square 2004 LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff rented an apartment on Senate Street in St. Louis from the defendant and the defendant was responsible for maintaining the outside areas, including stepping stones from the street to the building. The plaintiff alleges the defendant's negligence led to injuries that caused her to incur medical expenses of more than $48,193.68 and lost wages of more than $100,000. 

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in a fair and reasonable amount of more than $25,000, costs and all other relief that is appropriate. She is represented by Ray B. Marglous, Robert S. Merlin and Sarah H. Hale of Ray B. Marglous PC in Clayton.
