ST. LOUIS – Damages are being sought from a St. Louis resident over a rear-end collision that took place in the city.

Dearll Porter filed a complaint on Nov. 19 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Carlos Higginbottom alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 10, 2017, he was injured when the automobile he was driving was struck from behind by defendant's vehicle at the intersection of Newstead and St. Louis Avenue. He alleges he suffered injuries and endured pain and suffering, lost wages and loss of enjoyment of life.

The plaintiff holds Higginbottom responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to maintain a proper and safe distance and failed to avoid the collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages of more than $25,000, with interest, costs and all other relief that is necessary and proper. He is represented by Benjamin J. Sansone of Sansone & Lauber in Clayton.
