ST. LOUIS – A woman has filed suit against her former employer over allegations it retaliated against her for reporting sexual harassment.
Ramona Nichols filed a complaint on Dec. 3 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against GL Group Inc., doing business as Booksource, and Keith Kent citing the Missouri Human Rights Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff began working for GL Group in April 2014. She alleges beginning in early 2017, Kent touched her in a sexual manner without her consent. She alleges she reported the conduct to her supervisor in September 2017 and again in January and February. The suit states she was terminated March 2.
The plaintiff holds GL Group Inc. and Kent responsible because the defendants allegedly subjected her to severe and pervasive sexual harassment and retaliated against her by terminating her for reporting the same.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in a fair and reasonable amount of more than $25,000, costs, attorney's fees and all other relief that is appropriate. She is represented by Bret C. Kleefuss of Law Office of Derald L Gab in St. Louis.
