Insured motorist files suit against Allstate Insurance over underinsured motorist claim

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis woman alleges her insurer has failed and refused to pay her claim for underinsured motorist coverage.

Pamela Cary filed a complaint on Dec. 4 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against The Allstate Insurance Co. alleging vexatious refusal to pay.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 24, 2014, she was injured in an auto collision as a result of the carelessness an underinsured driver. She alleges she sustained injuries and had underinsured motorist coverage with the defendant at the time of the collision.

The plaintiff holds The Allstate Insurance Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to pay the amounts due under the terms of the policy.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant in an amount greater than $100,000, costs, attorney's fees and all other just and proper relief. She is represented by Anna M. Lammert of Page Law LLC in St. Louis.
