ST. LOUIS – A Las Vegas resident alleges an unsafe working environment in St. Louis caused knee injuries.
George Richards filed a complaint on Dec. 10 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against National Railroad Passenger Corp. (Amrak) citing the Federal Employers' Liability Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in the course and scope of his employment with defendant in St. Louis, he was caused to sustain injuries to his knees due to the rail cars violent shakes and excessive vibrations and was also subjected to excessive and repetitive unsafe ergonomics and unsafe postures.
The plaintiff holds National Railroad Passenger Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide safe equipment and appliances for work, failed to provide reasonably safe conditions for work and failed to provide adequate warning of the dangers associated to cumulative trauma.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant of more than $25,000, costs and all other relief that is necessary. He is represented by D. Matthew Dreesen of Dreesen Law Firm LLC in Chesterfield.
