ST. LOUIS – A California man alleges an unsafe work environment while employed by National Railroad Passenger Corp. caused shoulder injuries.

Donald Chandler II filed a complaint on Dec. 9 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against National Railroad Passenger Corp. citing the Federal Employers' Liability Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that during the course of his employment with defendant in St. Louis and Missouri, his shoulders were injured because of the shaking of the cars and repetitive unsafe ergonomics and unsafe postures.

The plaintiff holds National Railroad Passenger Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide a safe place to work, failed to provide safe appliances and safe methods for work and failed to warn him of the dangers associated with his job.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, costs and all other relief to which he may be entitled. He is represented by D. Matthew Dreesen of Dreesen Law Firm LLC in Chesterfield.
