ST. LOUIS – A Metro bus passenger is seeking damages from a driver who struck the bus, allegedly causing her injuries.

T'anna L. Hawkins filed a complaint on Dec. 12 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against William C. Nicols alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 27, 2017, she was injured when she was thrown about inside the Metro bus she was riding when it was struck by defendant's vehicle. She alleges she suffered serious and painful injuries to her back, neck and left arm.

The plaintiff holds Nicols responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to slacken speed or stop his vehicle to avoid a collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in a fair and reasonable amount, plus costs. She is represented by Joseph K. Robbins of The Robbins Law Firm in St. Louis.
