ST. LOUIS – A passenger alleges he was injured when the driver of the vehicle violated a traffic control signal at a St. Louis intersection and struck another vehicle.

Zachery Whaley filed a complaint on Dec. 17 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against Claire Hoeing and Michael Jeremy Ford alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 20, 2017, he was a passenger in a motor vehicle driven by Hoeing when they were involved in car crash at the intersection of River City Boulevard and Alabama Street in St. Louis. The suit states Hoeing violated a traffic control signal and struck Ford's vehicle.

The plaintiff alleges he suffered injuries to his neck and back and incurred medical bills of more than $8,000 and lost wages of more than $5,000 as a result of the accident.

The plaintiff holds Hoeing and Ford responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to yield to the right of way.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount of more than $25,000, plus costs and all other relief that is proper and just. He is represented by Aaron M. Vogel of Schultz & Myers LLC in St. Louis.
